Lord Jesus - you are the Lamb of God
Christ Jesus - you are the resurrection
Lord Jesus - you forgive the sins of the contrite
Prayers of the faithful:
Priest: We now present our prayers and petitions to the God of abundant love:
1. For all who hold onto and build up the Catholic faith - may they grow in their own faith, and out of their faith, reach out to others.
2. For our governmental leaders here in the US and throughout the world - may their accept God’s message brought to them by the Holy Spirit and may they govern with compassion and justice.
3. For those received into the Church during the Easter season and for those children and youth who will receive the sacraments of first Eucharist and confirmation - may their lives of faith be a sign of new life to the world.
4. We pray that our students have a blessed and fruitful close to their school year.
5. For all who serve in our military, for our first responders, for our medical professionals - in thanks and gratitudes for their service and courage.
6. For the sick and shut-ins and the repose of the souls of the faithful departed.
Priest: God of love, fill us with your Holy Spirit. Grant our prayers that we make in the name of your Son, our risen Lord forever and ever.
