Lord Jesus, you bring us Easter joy

Christ Jesus - you are the resurrection

Lord Jesus - you are the son of the Father

Priest: In this most Holy Season, when our Lord Jesus Christ passed from death to life, let us pray to him with confidence for all our needs 

1. For all baptized Christians: that we may walk in the newness of life and live in the glorious freedom of the children of God. 

2. For government leaders: that Christ’s victory over evil may encourage them to work for justice and peace. 

3. For the sick and the lonely: that the risen Lord may enflame their hearts and raise their spirits 

4. For members of our Catholic community in the Diocese of Jackson: that we may experience the joy of the Lord’s resurrection in our lives.  May the resurrected Lord help us in our challenging reality.  

5. For the faithful departed, for their entry into eternal life. 

Priest: God of mercy, may we who celebrate the resurrection of your Son experience its power in our lives. We ask this through the same Christ, our Lord for ever and ever. Amen.
