Prayer for Peace - reflection on Wednesday of the 1st week of Advent

So, yesterday I posted a reflection for Advent on a prayer for peace written by Pope Pius XII, the pope who served during WWII.  Not only are the Paris terrorist attacks on our minds, but my own home town of Chicago has been the place of many protests due to footage being release of a young man being shot by a Chicago police officer.  Today, we had the attack in San Bernardino, California, where many other innocent people were killed.  We people of faith much search for answers.  Even when there are no easy answers.  We must never give up.  And we must not abandon the values of our faith.  To quote the prophet Isaiah (Isaiah 32:17): Opus justitiae pax - The work of justice shall be peace.  We shall never give up working for justice, no matter how hard it shall be.  We shall never give up working for peace.  Those values are inherent in our faith.
