We light
all four candles today for this fourth Sunday of Advent as we journey ever closer to the day of
the birth of our Savior.
Let us
pray.
Stir up
your might, we pray Thee, O Lord, and hasten your arrival. As we hear of the Virgin Mother’s courage and
compassion in her visit to her cousin Elizabeth, may all of us boldly live out
our faith with passion and mercy as we anticipate the birth of your Son. May the light of these four candles symbol
the light that he is in our world and may it give us hope and encouragement through
the trails and challenges of our own journeys.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
