We have been praying
for peace and a turning away from violence and oppression at our Sunday masses
here at St James Catholic Church in Tupelo.
Here is the peace prayer we will be praying at the end of mass on the 4th
Sunday in Advent.
Make know your
saving power amongst all peoples.
Renew your Church in
holiness
and help us to serve
you with joy.
Guide the leaders of
all nations,
that justice may
prevail throughout the world.
Let not the needy
and oppressed be forgotten.
Let not our hope be
taken away.
Change hearts that
have been hardened
and that have turned
to violence and hatred.
Make all of us instruments
of peace
and let your glory
be praised throughout the earth.
We ask this in the
name of Jesus your son.
Amen.
