3 October 2025 - prayers of the faithful - Friday of the 26th week in Ordinary Time -

Lord Jesus - you call us to follow you.

Christ Jesus - you proclaim the kingdom of God. 

Lord Jesus - you call us to a life of discipleship. 

Priest - With love and faith in our hearts, we present our prayers to our heavenly Father -

1. That our Church leaders may help us to be better listeners of God{s word. 

2. That our governmental leaders have humble hearts as they lead and govern their people. 

3. That we all be better stewards of creation. That we work toward providing clean water to all. We pray for all who are working to solve the water problem in the city of Jackson. 

4. That we all have a spirit of evangelization in the way we live out our faith each day. 

5. For our first responders, the men and women serving in the military, and our veterans. 

6. That we may all be open to hear the message of the prophets. 

7. For the prayers we hold in the silence of our hearts. 

Priest - We present our prayers through your son Jesus Christ, our Lord forever and ever. AMEN.
