Lord Jesus - You call us to spend time in prayer.
Christ Jesus - You are a light shining in the darkness of the world.
Lord Jesus - You are our savior and our redeemer.
Priest: With joy in our hearts, let us present our prayers to our heavenly Father:
1. For our church leaders and our governmental leaders, that they will fulfill their duties with integrity, justice, and good will.
2. That God will free us from fear, attachments, and wounds, so that we may fully respond to all that God asks of us
3. For a new encounter with the Lord in prayer and Sacred Scripture which will help us to enter into a deeper relationship with Christ.
4. For healing for victims of crime, violence, and abuse.
5. For all who care for those in need: that those working in outreach ministries, housing assistance, healthcare, pregnancy centers, or refugee services may continue to bring God’s love and compassion to those whom they serve.
6. For all who are ill or afflicted or recovering from surgery: that they may know the healing touch of God through the prayers and care of this community.
7. For peace in the Middle East and throughout the world.
8. For the prayers we hold in our hearts today.
Priest: In hope, we present these prayers through your Son Jesus Christ, our Lord forever and ever. AMEN.
