In recent years, we have had a Eucharistic revival and an increased in Adoration of the the Blessed Sacrament, so in many ways, this should increase our appreciation of the solemnity we celebrate this weekend: The Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ. This increased love and understanding of the Eucharist is reflected in the adoration chapel that we established here at Holy Savior this past year. But our understanding of the Eucharist does not end with the reception of the Eucharist at Mass, but also how we live out the Eucharist each day and how we in the Church live as the Body of Christ. We have a wonderful team of Eucharistic ministers here in our parish who help us distribute the Eucharist at Mass and who take the Eucharist to the sick and the homebound, for which we are very thankful.
