Lord Jesus - you call us to unity.
Christ Jesus - you call us to solidarity.
Lord Jesus - you call us to faithfulness.
Priest: Let us now bring our prayers to our heavenly Father:
1. That the Light of Christ may shine through us and reveal God’s presence and compassion to all who are searching for meaning or purpose in life.
2. That we may recognize Christ’s presence in our lives, through those who love us, the events of each day, and in those who are suffering
3. That church leaders may show through their teaching and actions the path to a deeper relationship with Christ and greater unity in the Church.
4. That the Light of the Gospel may break forth in those who lives in darkness and open a path to a meaningful life for them.
5. That the burden and pain of those who suffer unjustly may be lifted and that God will restore their lives within the human community
6. For all members of Religious Communities: that the Holy Spirit will renew them and empower them to give faithful witness to Christ.
7. For the prayers we hold in the silence of our hearts:
Priest: With faith and hope, we present these prayers through your son Jesus Christ, our Lord forever and ever. AMEN.
