Lord Jesus - you meet us in our reality.
Christ Jesus - you bring us hope and encouragement.
Lord Jesus - you are the beloved Son.
As disciples of Christ, let us bring our prayers before the Lord who saves us:
1. For the prophets of today, who challenge all of humanity, that they may have divine help in spreading the message of justice and truth.
2. For those who are grieving loss in different ways in their lives, may they find hope and encouragement in their faith.
3. For those who have died recently, and all the faithful departed, that they may dwell in the Lord’s house forever.
4. We pray for Pope Francis’ prayer intention for the month of February, praying for religious sisters and consecrated women; thanking them for their mission and courage, that they may continue to find new responses to the challenges of our times.
5. For our children and youth, for a good spring school semester for them.
6. For all our prayers and our needs, which we remember in the silence of our hearts.
O God our shepherd, you gently lead your people by your hand: hear the prayers we make and graciously answer them, through Jesus Christ our Lord forever and ever. Amen.
