Lord God,
we come to you today in the midst of our Advent journey,
in the midst of the challenging days of the pandemic,
as we prepare a way for the Lord,
as we prepare for the coming of the Lord at his birth at Christmas,
as we also prepare for his coming at the end times.
We give thanks for our Diocesan finance council,
for all their hard work to help guide our Diocese,
to give advice as to our finances and administration,
to assist us in our mission here to serve the people of God in the Diocese of Jackson.
As we meet together today, most of us virtually,
we ask for the presence of the Holy Spirit for wisdom in the decisions we make,
In the name, of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, AMEN.
