Faithful God, you are at work in our world each day to restore all of creation in its intended unity and harmony. Give us your peace that all enemies may be reconciled and that we may feel a solidarity in our faith. As we light the first two candles of the Advent wreath today, help us to prepare for the coming of your son, both at his birth and also when he will come again. God of promise, God of hope, heal the brokenness and darkness of the world. AMEN.
