Pilgrims on a journey -

"We get the Camino we need, not the Camino we want."  This is a common saying among pilgrims.  As Claudia Addison pointed out to the me, I wonder sometimes if we needed all of the rain, hail, sleet, and cold weather that we had on the pilgrimage of St James to teach us a specific lesson.  We endured all of that, and still had an very enriching and meaningful Camino.  We don't always get to go down the road we want to go down in life.  Our journey may be filled with rainy days and pot holes and detours.  But we go down that road one step at a time.  And God is with us along the way.
