Quote - finding meaning in our lives

"Life is hard, and if we don't take the time to hear our own voice and reach out for more meaning, we will be swept up in the world and in danger of losing our lives to society, obligations, and fear."

This is a very profound quote I found in the book Pilgrimage: The Modern Seeker's Guide by author Evans Bowen.  She wrote this quote about how the pilgrim seeks salvation in the pilgrimage he is undertaking, but, I think that this quote can also refer to many things.  We human beings need meaning in our lives, or at least most of us do.  We find meaning in different ways.  But, yes, we need to find salvation and meaning and new energy on our journey, no matter who we are.  I find this in pilgrimage, for sure.
