Lord Jesus - you are the son of Mary.
Christ Jesus - you are the Lord of time and eternity.
Lord Jesus - your spirit is within our hearts.
Prayers of the faithful:
As God's love accompanies us in our celebration of Mary today, in our prayers today, let us present our needs, the needs of the Church, and the needs of the world.
1. For the Church, that we may invoke God's blessing for those most in need.
2. As the Pope calls us to pray for peace as we start the new year, may we all find a way to reject hate, division, and resentment in our lives and in our communities and work toward reconciliation and healing.
3. For our families, our children, and our youth, for hope and joy in our lives and for Mary's guidance and help to accompany us on our journey of faith.
4. For good health for us in body, mind and spirit; for all in the hospital, hospice, and nursing homes.
5. For our first responders, for our medical professionals, and for the men and women in the military, in gratitude for their service.
6. For the prayers we hold in our hearts today.
We present our prayers united with the prayers of Mary and through your son Jesus Christ, our Lord forever and ever. AMEN.
