prayers of the faithful - Sunday of the 32nd week in Ordinary Time - 7 November 2021

Lord Jesus - you call us to hope.

Christ Jesus - you call us to justice.

Lord Jesus - you call us to love.

We turn to our heavenly Father in prayer, asking for his blessings on all those in need:

1. For our Holy Father, Pope Francis, and all who are called to leadership in the Church, that their work may be blessed and bear abundant fruit.

2. For leaders of nations, that they will strive to see that the needs of the poor and the suffering.

3. For the men and women serving in the military, for veterans, for first responders, for gratitude for their sacrifices.

4. For all Christians, that we may work for reconciliation and peace - in our hearts, in our homes and in our community.

5. For the repose of the souls of the faithful departed that we remember in a special way in the month of Remembrance, that God may call them into light, judge them with mercy and grant them peace.

6. For all who are sick or housebound that they may know the comforting presence of Jesus.

7. For the prayers we hold in our hearts.

Gracious God, hear our prayers and grant them for the good of your children who now call upon you. We ask this in his name, for his is our Lord forever and ever. AMEN.
