Lord Jesus - you call us to justice.
Christ Jesus - you call us to peacemakers.
Lord Jesus - you call us to hope.
We now present our prayers to our heavenly Father:
1. For an end to the violence perpetrated by harsh words, deadly weapons, or cold indifference. May our homes, our nation, and countries around the world become havens of peace, let us pray to the Lord.
2. For the grace to see every human being as a child of God, regardless of race, language or culture, let us pray to the Lord.
3. For the wisdom to receive the stories and experiences of those different from ourselves and to respond with respect, let us pray to the Lord.
4. For our children and youth, for their journey through the school year, let us pray to the Lord.
5. For our faith community, that we may celebrate and welcome visitor to our midst in our worship and in our ministries, let us pray to the Lord.
6. For healing for those who are sick and broken, let us pray to the Lord.
7. For the souls of the faithful departed we remember during the month of remembrance, let us pray to the Lord.
We present our prayers through your son Jesus Christ, our Lord forever and ever. AMEN.
