prayers of the faithful - 33rd Sunday in Ordinary Time - 14 November 2021

Lord Jesus - you call us to justice.

Christ Jesus - you proclaim God's kingdom.

Lord Jesus - you are the son of the Father.

My brothers and sisters, as servants of God’s kingdom, let us turn to God in prayer:

1. That our worship may stir the Church to bear witness to the Gospel.

2. That our governmental leaders may be guided by the wisdom of God’s Spirit for the benefit of the common good and unify our country.

3. That those recovering from Hurricanes, floods, drought, brush fires and winter storms may experience generous hearts and abundant prayer support during the process of recovery and healing.

4. That all who are ill with Corona virus and other illnesses and diseases.  For front-line workers and caregivers.  For continued success of the vaccine to rid us of this pandemic.

5. For all who have entered into eternal life, whom we remember in a special way in this month of remembrance.

6. For the prayers we hold in our hearts.

God of love, you call us to be a people of prayer and to persevere in faith. Help us to be faithful servants of your kingdom. We ask our prayers through your son Jesus Christ our Lord forever and ever.  AMEN.
