Lord Jesus - you are hope for the world - Lord have mercy.
Christ Jesus - you call out to us in our need - Christ have mercy.
Lord Jesus - you hear the cry of the afflicted.
Priest: we now present our prayers to our loving and merciful God:
1. For Pope Francis’ prayer intention for September 2018: that young people in Africa may have access to education and in their own countries. We pray for young people all over the world, for their well-being, and for opportunities for them.
2. For the Church - that she always be a voice of evangelization and of witness of the Good News of our Lord.
3. For justice for the oppressed, food for the hungry, and freedom for the enslaved.
4. For the strengthening of our parish and the wider opening of our eyes and ears to God’s truth and will for each of us…
5. For the physical healing of our family and friends from every affliction. For the sick and shut-ins of our parish community.
6. For our own prayer intentions in silence...
Priest: With the light of Christ in our hearts, we our prayers through him, who is our Lord forever and ever. AMEN.
