On Good Friday, the way our liturgy flows, we have decided that there is not a good place for us to put a homily, and truth be told, the liturgy very much speaks for itself. So, we do not have a homily as part of our liturgy. On Good Friday, I remember the seven last words of Jesus.
"Father, forgive them; they do not know what they are doing." (Luke 23:34)
"I assure you: this day you will be with Me in paradise." (Luke 23:43)
"Woman, there is your Son." (John 19:26)
"My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?" (Matthew 27:46
"I am thirsty." (John 19:30)
"Now it is finished." (John 19:30)
"Father, into Your hands I commend My spirit." (Luke 23:46)
