Gracious God, you give us the season of joy in preparation
for the celebration of your Son’s birth in Bethlehem.
Our hearts are filled with joy and anticipation as Christmas draws near.
Help us to bring Christmas hope into every place we go.
Even as we are busy with our Christmas preparations,
as we light our candles on this 3rd Sunday of Advent,
help us to take time to remember you
and to remember what we truly celebrate this season. AMEN.
