1 September 2026 - prayers of the faithful for Tuesday of the Twenty-second Week in Ordinary Time

Priest: 

Lord Jesus, you bring us hope. 

Christ Jesus, you are our savior and our redeemer. 

Lord Jesus, you are the only begotten son. 

Priest: With faith and hope, we present our prayers to our heavenly Father: 

1. We we in the Church bring the Body of Christ to the world, living in the spirit of the Eucharist and sharing the word of God with others. 

2. May the Holy Spirit inspire our world leader to work for peace. 

3. For all consecrated members of religious communities. May the Lord bless them in their vocation. 

4. For the sick, the hospitalized, the afflicted, and the home bound. 

5. For those who work in soup kitchens and food banks and homeless shelters. 

6. For good weather and a bountiful harvest for our farmers and gardeners. 

7. For the faithful departed and for all who have died recently. For their entry into eternal life. 

8. For the prayers we hold in the silence of our hearts. 

Priest: Heavenly Father, we present our prayers through your son Jesus Christ, our Lord forever and ever. AMEN.
