26 November 2025 - prayers of the faithful - Wednesday of the 34th week in Ordinary Time

Lord Jesus - you call us to repent.

Christ Jesus - you forgive the sins of the contrite.

Lord Jesus - you will come again in glory.

Priest: We present our prayers to our heavenly Father today with humble hearts:

1. That our Church leaders and governmental leaders may lead us away from division and violence to unity and reconciliation.

2. That God will fill with hope those getting married, those becoming new parents, those making professions in religious communities, and those entering new careers. May the Lord lead them and guide them through all the joys and sorrows of life’s journey.

3. That God will give courage to those facing transitions in life, helping them to recognize the gifts God has given them and being open to new opportunities for growth and new life.

4. That God will open new opportunities for those who lack education, employment, healthcare, or safe housing and help them to move forward.

5. That God will guide displace persons who have fled violence, famine, or natural disasters, keeping them safe from harm and leading them to places of safety.

6. For the repose of the souls of the faithful departed. For their entry into eternal life. For those names enrolled in our book of remembrance.

Priest: Heavenly Father, we present these prayers through your son Jesus Christ, our Lord forever and ever.
