Lord Jesus - you bring God’s love to your people.
Christ Jesus - you bring healing to sick.
Lord Jesus - you console the sorrowful.
Priest: We open our hearts to God in our prayers today:
1. That the Church, led by Pope Leo XIV, be a sign of unity, an instrument of reconciliation and a community of peace in the world. We pray to the Lord.
2. May we be ready to forgive others in the same way that God has first forgiven us. We pray to the Lord.
3. For peace in all troubled areas of our world. May we work for dialogue and mutual respect.
4. We pray for vocations. May members of our community answer God’s call to become priests, deacons, and religious brothers and sisters, and lay ministers. We pray to the Lord.
5. For all of us on pilgrimage during the jubilee year of hope. May we be open to the way God speaks to us through this experience. We pray to the Lord.
6. For our departed family, friends, and community members. May they be purified of sin and rejoice in the eternal life of heaven. We pray to the Lord.
7. That Mary and the community of saints lead us and guide us on our journey. We pray to the Lord.
8. For the prayers we hold in the quiet of our hearts. We pray to the Lord.
Priest: As you hear our prayers, O God, may you have mercy on us and renew us. We make our prayers through your son Jesus Christ, our Lord forever and ever. AMEN.
