Lord Jesus, you bring us justice and peace.
Christ Jesus, you bring us new life.
Lord Jesus, you call us to mercy and solidarity.
As we commemorate the anniversary of 9/11 today, we present our prayers to our loving God:
1. For our Church leaders including Pope Francis and Bishop Kopacz, that they may always lead the people of God in justice and peace.
2. For our governmental leaders, may we all work together toward an end to terrorism and violence, to build justice and unity throughout our land.
3. For our first responders and the men and women in the military, for the sacrifices they make and for their safety.
4. For our children, youth, parents, and teachers, for blessings for this school year.
5. For the sick and shut in, for those in the hospital, hospice, and nursing homes. For healing.
6. For the repose of the souls of the faithful departed.
Heavenly father, we present these prayers to you through your son Jesus Christ, our Lord forever and ever. AMEN.
