Lord, as we commemorate Labor Day
here in our beloved country,
we thank you for the blessing of work.
We ask for strength to complete our work each day.
We ask for rest when we are weary.
We ask for Your guidance
for those who are out of work and
for those who are seeking employment.
We ask that you be with those whose faces
we might never see but who work tirelessly each day
for the good of our society.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. AMEN.
