Another quote that struck my in the book Pilgrimage: The Modern Seeker's Guide: "A pilgrimage will not solve all your problems, but it will give you the space to let the light of inspiration into your heart and mind." What a wonderful description of this aspect of pilgrimage that give you space to meet the divine that you would not normally have in your daily routine. Perhaps this is why I am so drawn to pilgrimage.

Quote - pilgrimage
We go on pilgrimage not to escape life,
but that life will not escape us.
(I saw this quote on the American pilgrims on the Camino website. I really like this quote a lot. I think that this perspective shows why pilgrimage has become so popular amongst pilgrims and people of other faith traditions in recent years.)
I am going to try to post quotes on my blog each day, quotes that inspire me and that bring me hope. These are one of the resolutions I am making this year.
