Lord Jesus - you give hope to the hopeless.
Christ Jesus - you forgive the sins of the contrite.
Lord Jesus - you bring healing to the sick and the afflicted.
Priest: We now bring our prayers to our heavenly Father:
1. May we grow in our humility and in our recognition of the gifts and blessings we receive from God.
2. May we strive for a fuller life in the Holy Spirit, allowing the Spirit to lead us and guide us in life.
3. May all who are traveling. May God guide us to our designations and protect us from harm.
4. For our governmental leaders. That God will give them wisdom in addressing current challenges and the courage to work for the greater good.
5. For good health for all of us in body, mind, and spirit, especially the sick and the afflicted.
6. That we may all work toward peace and reconciliation.
7. For the prayers we hold in the silence of our hearts.
Priest: Gracious and merciful Father, we ask that you hear the prayers that we present to you today through your son Jesus Christ, our Lord forever and ever. AMEN.
