Lord Jesus, you hear the cry of the poor.
Christ Jesus, you forgive the sins of the contrite.
Lord Jesus, you bring us the Father’s love.
Priest - With faith and trust in our heavenly Father, let us now present our prayers to him.
1. For the Church, may she always be for us the sign of our salvation and of freedom from fear, let us pray to the Lord:
2. For our Holy Father and his brother bishops; for our priests, deacons, lay leaders and seminarians, for strength in these challenging times, let us pray to the Lord:
3. For elected officials and public servants; for honesty in government and the observance of law, let us pray to the Lord:
4. For the equitable sharing of our Father’s gifts throughout the world; for the security of our children, born and to be born, let us pray to the Lord:
5. For all those affected by the pandemic. We pray that all may properly observe our safety protocols in our to keep everyone safe.
6. For peace in the many lands in peril of civil war; for the safety of civilians and of the military, for the healing of economic and social injustices, let us pray to the Lord:
7. For our sick and shut-ins and for the repose of the souls of the faithful departed, let us pray to the Lord.
Priest - We make these prayers through your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord forever and ever. AMEN.
