This is a blog of homilies, reflections, and photos from a Roman Catholic priest serving in the Diocese of Jackson in the state of Mississippi. Currently, I am the pastor of Holy Savior in Clinton and Immaculate Conception in Raymond. I also serve as Vicar General of the Diocese.

Off at a conference for “new” pastors in St Meinrad, Indiana…
This week, I am away at a
conference for new pastors at St Meinrad Benedictine Archabbey in southern Indiana. I drove up here with Father Mario from Christ
the King parish in Jackson. We left
Jackson at 6:00 am Monday, and thankfully I was not too tired for the long
drive. Indiana is a confusing state – St
Meinrad, which is just outside of Evansville – is on Central time, although
just a minute or two away it is Eastern time.
The state of Indiana is a jigsaw puzzle carved up between these two time
zones. I hope everyone has a good
week. I will be back in the Delta
sometime late Friday night. It’s good to
be away, but it will be good to be back.
