Lord Jesus - you call us to practice justice.
Christ Jesus - you bring us the love of the Father.
Lord Jesus - you call us to faith and hope.
Priest: With love and hope in our hearts, let us now present our prayers to our heavenly Father:
1. For a deepening of virtue in our lives: that we grow in patience, endurance, fortitude, and hope, manifesting God’s life in us.
2. For the gift of transformation: that God’s generous love will help us break through feelings of anger and frustration. May God help us break free from our addictions, prejudices, and all those things that bring us down.
3. For renewal in our relationships: that our faith may inspire us to grow in our human relationships, forging reconciliation and forgiveness. May we learn to better share our lives and enrich the lives of others.
4. For the Catholic faithful: that God will inspire us to work for the good of our parishes and our Diocese. May we encourage and accept each other, honoring each others gifts.
5. For all who have celebrated the sacraments of baptism, first communion, and confirmation this year, that God will continue to bless them on their journey of faith.
6. For healing for the sick. For the repose of the souls of the faithful departed.
7. For the prayers we hold in the silence of our hearts.
As we commemorate the month of June to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we present our prayers through Jesus Christ and his sacred heart this morning, for he is our Lord forever and ever. AMEN.
