Introduction - We come together today to celebrate the Triune God, one God in three persons. God the Father created the world. God the Son was born into the world and became a part of humanity, sacrificing his life to save us. God the holy Spirit was sent into the world to be with us always. As we strive to comprehend this sacred mystery, let us join together in praise and thanksgiving today.
Lord Jesus you are the only begotten son of the eternal Father.
Christ Jesus - the world is saved through your death and resurrection. Lord Jesus - you call into God’s eternal kingdom.
Priest: The life and ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ reflect God’s infinite love for us. Let us bring our needs before the Lord today, assured that there is nothing we can ask that exceeds what God has already given us: 1. For the Church, that we may always work to build unity within the Christian community and amongst all the human family, we pray to the Lord.
2. That all nations may pursue peaceful ways to resolve conflicts, working for peace and justice for all people, we pray to the Lord.
3. For all married couples and for all who are engaged to be married, that their love may reflect the divine love among the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we pray to the Lord.
4. For farmers who grow our food, that they may be blessed with favorable weather and a bountiful harvest, we pray to the Lord.
5. For parents, teachers, and catechists, for all who teach of our loving and merciful God to our children and youth by word and example, we pray to the Lord.
6. That God bring his healing power to our sick and our shut-ins. That the faithful departed receive entry into the eternal life of God’s kingdom. We pray to the Lord.
7. For the prayers we hold in the silence of our hearts, for all our intentions spoken and unspoken, we pray to the Lord.
Priest: Triune God, you so loved the world that you gave us your only begotten Son. We ask that you listen to our needs and grant them through you generosity. We make our prayers through you son Jesus Christ, one with you and in unity with the Holy Spirit, forever and ever. AMEN.
