Blessed
are You, Lord and Father of all life, who has given to us the gift of the
Fathers and Grandfathers of our families. Today, we honor our Fathers and
Grandfathers and we thank You, Heavenly Father, for the numerous good things
that are ours because of them. Their
love for us has been a sign of your divine affection and a sharing in your holy
love. Their continuous concern for our needs and welfare is a mirror of your
holy providence.
And so,
as we honor our Fathers and Grandfathers today, we praise You, Father of all
peoples. Bless our Fathers and Grandfathers with your strength and holy power,
that they may continue to be a sign of you, our God. May we assist our Fathers
and Grandfathers with our respect, our obedience and our deep affection. Bless
them, Lord, with happiness and good health, with peace and good fortune. This
blessing and all graces, we pray, descend upon our Fathers and Grandfathers, in
the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
