Pedro Arrupe was the Superior General of the Jesuits and had a very strong on that religious order of priests and brothers. He passed away on February 5, 1991. Here is a wonderful quote from him, which reflects his strong work in social justice.
"To be just, it is not enough to refrain from injustice. One must go further and refuse to play its game, substituting love for self-interest as the driving force of society."
