32nd Sunday in Ordinary Time - prayers of the faithful - 10 November 2019

Penitential Rite

Let us call to mind our sins and ask God’s forgiveness:
Lord Jesus, you raise us to new life - Lord, have mercy.
Lord Jesus, you forgive us our sins - Christ, have mercy.
Lord Jesus, you feed us with your body and blood - Lord, have mercy.

Prayers of the Faithful:

Priest - The Lord pays heed to our cries - so let us bring our needs to God.

1. For a spirit of dialogue and friendship in our communities that are experiencing conflict and violence  — that there may be peace and reconciliaiton.
2. For Christians who persecuted for their faith — that they may have courage and perseverance.
3. For prisoners and their families - for victims of crime - for those who need forgiveness in their lives - that they feel the light of God.
4. For all who mourn — that they may have the support of a strong faith and help from their loving faith community.
5. For the sick and the shut-in - for those who are close to death - may the Lord bring them mercy and healing.
6.  For all who have died, especially the names of our loved ones who are inscribed in the book of remembrance -  that all may share in the resurrection and have eternal life.

Conclusion: Lord our God, you watch over and protect your people: turn your ear to us in the prayers we make, through your son Jesus Christ, our Lord for ever and ever.
