Feast of St Teresa of Avila -

St Teresa is one of my favorite saints.  We celebrate her feast day every year on October 15.  A Carmelite nun from the 16th century, she was a Church reformer, mystic, and theologian.  She has such great spiritual insights and mystical sensibility, she also is grounded in her humanness.  I have visited Avila, her hometown, twice.  Here are some photos of Avila.
