Another quote that struck my in the book Pilgrimage: The Modern Seeker's Guide: "A pilgrimage will not solve all your problems, but it will give you the space to let the light of inspiration into your heart and mind." What a wonderful description of this aspect of pilgrimage that give you space to meet the divine that you would not normally have in your daily routine. Perhaps this is why I am so drawn to pilgrimage.
