We pray for Pope Francis’ prayer intentions for the month of October 2017 - for workers and the unemployed: “That all workers may receive respect and protection of their rights, and that the unemployed may receive the opportunity to contribute to the common good.”
As Catholics, we are called to remember the dignity and rights of those who work, condemn situations in which that dignity and those rights are violated, and help to ensure authentic progress by man and society.
This is a very appropriate prayer intention for the month of October, where we in the Catholic Church in the United States commemorate Respect Life month.
