We welcome you all to our celebration of the 4th Sunday of Advent and our Christmas Masses this weekend. The Christmas season will continue with the Feast of the Holy Family and the Solemnity of Mary the Mother of God next weekend, then the feast of the Epiphany on January 7. With great joy, we celebrate the Christmas season, marking the birth of our Lord. We are looking forward to our parish activities as we enter the new year of 2024 and as we journey through the Christmas season.
I want to share with you this prayer of Christmas Past, Present, and Future as we start the celebration of the Christmas season this weekend. Let us pray: Gracious God, we turn to you in wonder and praise as we celebrate Christmas. During this sacred season, may we be reminded of our collective story. May our roots extend deep into the soil of faith and spread outward to share the Good News of Christ’s coming with others. May you help us reach out to others through acts of mercy and evangelization. Lord, we ask that you focus our attention so that we may remain attuned to the sights, the sounds, and the sensations of this holy season. May the presence of Christ be at the forefront of our thoughts and actions as we celebrate our holiday rituals. Fill us with hope as Christ is continually born into our world. May we never lose sight of the promise of the kingdom of peace and compassion that is both present and to come. With gratitude in our hearts, we pray: AMEN. Christmas Blessings to all of you. Father Lincoln.
