Lord Jesus - you are our Good Shepherd - Lord have mercy.
Christ Jesus - you lead and guide your flock - Christ have mercy.
Lord Jesus - you are the son of the Father - Lord have mercy.
We now present our prayers to our Good Shepherd.
1. That the holy Catholic Church, through the leadership of Pope Francis and our Bishop Joseph Kopacz, extend the victory of the risen Christ by serving those who walk in the valley of darkness, let us pray to the Lord.
2. That men and women who struggle for human rights may never follow false leaders or ways of violence, let us pray to the Lord.
3. That the Lord will raise up more priests and lay leaders to lead God’s people, let us pray to the Lord.
4. That our young people “may have life and have it to the full” through fidelity to the Good Shepherd, especially during these days under the stay-in-place order, let us pray to the Lord.
5. That the dead may pass through the “gate of the sheepfold” and rejoice with the shepherd and guardian of their souls, let us pray to the Lord.
6. For our sick and shut-ins, and for the prayers we hold in our hearts, let us pray to the Lord.
Most gentle Father, you guide us along the right path. Your Son is always there, beside us. Comfort us by granting these prayers, that we make through Christ our Lord.
