Lord Jesus - you call us to be missionary in spirit.
Christ Jesus - you call us to respect all human life.
Lord Jesus - you are the beloved son of the Father.
As we celebrate the missionary St Daniel Comboni today, we unite our prayers with his prayers and the prayers of the community of saints:
1. That we in the Church may be instruments of God’s mercy, guides for all who are seeking God, and companions to those developing a relationship with God.
2. As we celebrate St Daniel Comboni today, we pray that we all may be missionary in spirit in the reality of our lives.
3. That we may all put greater trust in God in the midst of any sufferings and needs.
4. That our faith community may welcome all visitors as if they were Christ and that our liturgies may help them draw closer to God. May we strive for a spirit of welcome and hospitality.
5. For healing for the sick and shut-in. For those in the hospital, hospice, and nursing home.
6. For the prayers we hold in the silence of our hearts today.
With faith and hope, we present these prayers through your son Jesus Christ, our Lord forever and ever. AMEN.
