Lord Jesus - you are the Good Shepherd.
Christ Jesus - you are a light in the darkness.
Lord Jesus - you are our hope.
We present our prayers to God in the midst of our Lenten journey:
1. We pray for our Universal Church as we continue our journey during Lent, that God may heal the broken places of our institutions, and satisfy the spiritual longings for all who feel they do not belong.
2. We pray for the weary and anxious, that God may calm the battles within those who face the treacherous desert of pain, fear and lack of forgiveness.
3. We pray for those preparing for the Easter sacraments, that God may inspire them and encourage them as they search for him in their lives.
4. We pray for those who are recovering from bad weather. For those in the midst of a winter storm out West. For those in Jackson who still don’t have
5. We pray for those who struggle in deserts of the soul, the God may forgive the wrongs of our past and ease the echoes of our regrets in this Lenten season.
6. We pray for our beloved dead who rest in abundant pastures, that God give peace to our loved ones in heaven and hope on earth for all who grieve.
7. For the prayers we hold in our hearts.
Heavenly Father, we humble hearts, we present these prayers through your Son Jesus Christ, our Lord forever and ever. AMEN.
