Lord Jesus - you are the Word of God made flesh.
Christ Jesus - you are our Savior and redeemer.
Lord Jesus - you are the beloved Son of the Father.
Priest: Let us place our hope and trust in God’s love as we pray for our needs and the needs of our neighbor:
1. For the members of the Church, that we may reach out to share God’s redeeming love with others.
2. For the leaders of the nations, that they be attentive to the needs of their people they represent, we pray to the Lord.
3. That members of different Christian traditions and people from different religions work together for peace and justice.
4. For a reverence and respect for human life. May we reach out to the poor, the prisoner, and vulnerable.
5. For our parish community, that we may bear witness to God’s grace through our prayers and our outreach.
6. For the repose of the souls of the faithful departed, for their entry into eternal life.
7. For the prayers we hold in the silence of our hearts, for all our intentions spoken and unspoken.
Priest: Merciful God, as we turn to you in our needs, we humbly ask you to grant them according to your will, through Jesus Christ, our Lord forever and ever. AMEN.
