Next weekend, we commemorate Palm Sunday and the beginning of Holy Week. It is hard to believe we are getting close to the end of our Lenten journey and to our celebration of Easter. We have been accompanying Jesus on his journey to his death on the cross and to his resurrection in different ways. Hopefully, some of the things we have learned during Lent will carry over on our journey of faith through the rest of the year. Since we have been exploring the theme or gratitude during Lent, hopefully the practice of gratitude and thanksgiving will carry over. Father Ron Rolheiser states that “Sanctity has to do with gratitude. To be a saint is to be fueled with gratitude, nothing more and nothing less.” If we are going to aspire to be holy, then gratitude must be an especial part of our lives. Blessings to you as we continue our Lenten journey. And happy St Patrick’s Day to Father McGing and to all of you this weekend. Father Lincoln.
