Lord Jesus - you call us to reconciliation
Christ Jesus - you bring us hope
Lord Jesus - you call us to conversion
In the midst of our Lenten journey, we present our prayer to our heavenly Father:
1. For our governmental and our Church leaders, may they help us to proclaim the Gospel of life in our daily lives, respecting human life from the moment of conception to the moment of natural death.
2. That as we commemorate First Saturday today and our Lady of Fatima, we may unite our prayers with the prayers of our Lady of Fatima, asking the Blessed Mother to lead us and guide us in our lives.
3. For all those children and youth preparing for the sacraments of first holy communion and confirmation, for all adults preparing for the entry in the Church in the RCIA program, that the Lord will continue to bless them and accompany them on their journey of faith.
4. For all those communities and countries that are torn apart by war and violence, that we all could work toward unity, healing, justice, and peace. We pray for peace especially in war in Europe.
5. For all who are suffering for the Gospel: that God will strengthen them and help them to offer faithful witness to Christ.
6. For all who are ill: that God will bring healing to the sick, give strength to those in the hospital and those undergoing rehab, and courage and perseverance to those struggling with addictions.
7. For the prayers we hold in the silence of our hearts this morning.
With humble and faithful hearts, we present these prayers through your son Jesus Christ, our Lord forever and ever. AMEN.
