Lord Jesus - you call us to follow God’s laws and commandments.
Christ Jesus - you send us out as missionaries in the world.
Lord Jesus - you are seated at the right hand of the Father.
Priest: as we present our prayers today, let us ask that God shed his light upon us:
1. That people of every nation, race, and religion may be united together in working for justice and integrity.
2. For healing for the sick, the afflicted, and those who are experiencing grief or loss.
3. That our parish community always be welcoming and hospitable.
4. For our children, youth, and college students. May the Lord bless them this school year.
5. For our first responders, our veterans, the men and women currently serving in the military and our medical professionals.
6. May all Christians bring the light of Christ to the dark corners of the world.
7. For our brothers and sisters who have died. That they may come to God’s holy mountain and enter eternal life with God.
8. For the prayers we hold in the silence of our hearts.
Priest: Gracious God, may all the nations of the earth find their help in you. Teach us to trust in your love as you grant our petitions, which we make through Jesus Christ, our Lord forever and ever. Amen.
