6 May 2022 – prayers of the faithful - the 3rd week of Easter

Lord Jesus - you are the living word of God. 

Christ Jesus - you give us the water of life. 

Lord Jesus - you are the living bread and saving cup. 

Jesus show us the path of hope and life. Our hearts burn with love as we pray:

1. That the Church promote the reception of the Eucharist to all of our members. 

2. That our governmental official help us practice justice and outreach to the marginalized and the oppressed. 

3. That communities of faith the Good News of Jesus Christ with the larger community. 

4. To those who are alone or lonely, for those who are battling addictions or searching for meaning in life, that they be sustained and renewed by God's loving presence.  

5. For the martyrs who have died for their faith, for those who are persecuted for our faith in the present age, that all of us may have the courage to stand up for the faith, no matter what the sacrifice.  

6. For the prayers we hold in the silence of our hearts today. 

God, you fill our hearts with the light of the Holy Spirit.  Hear the prayers we offer in the name of your son, our risen Lord forever and ever. AMEN.
