As we hear the story of Jesus visiting Mary and Martha in the Gospel today, and as we hear of Abraham showing hospitality to three strangers in today’s first reading, I think of the importance of hospitality as a part of our Catholic faith and the ways we try to show hospitality here at our parishes of Holy Savior and Immaculate Conception. It is important for us to be welcoming to everyone and to help everyone feel that they are welcome to be a member of our community. With as busy as we are in our everyday lives, it is easy for hospitality to get lost with everything else that is going on. But, we should always remember how important it is to welcome everything, to make them feel that they can be a part of our Catholic faith. Pope Francis always mentioned how we need to be a Catholic Church that goes forth into the world and invites. That is an important message we need to hear. Have a blessed week everyone.
