This is a blog of homilies, reflections, and photos from a Roman Catholic priest serving in the Diocese of Jackson in the state of Mississippi. Currently, I am the pastor of Holy Savior in Clinton and Immaculate Conception in Raymond. I have served as Vicar General of the Diocese since July 2019. I also serve as Catholic chaplain in the federal prison in Yazoo City and the state prison in Pearl.

Off to the Diocesan Convocation in Southaven
Monday afternoon, after I have the morning mass and after I visit a few sick and shut-ins, I will travel to Southaven, Mississippi, near Memphis, to attend our diocesan convocation. We only go every couple of years - this is the third time for me since I was ordained a priest in May 2008. I am looking forward to the presentations on the Second Vatican Council and to interacting with my brother priests and lay ecclesial ministers. Peace to everyone until then - will be returning to Tupelo on Thursday afternoon, in time for mass with the Happy Hearts in the afternoon and a first reconciliation parents meeting and the Knights of Columbus in the evening.
