This is a blog of homilies, reflections, and photos from a Roman Catholic priest serving in the Diocese of Jackson in the state of Mississippi. Currently, I am the pastor of Holy Savior in Clinton and Immaculate Conception in Raymond. I have served as Vicar General of the Diocese since July 2019. I also serve as Catholic chaplain in the federal prison in Yazoo City and the state prison in Pearl.

Another week, another city for travel
In the past few weeks, I have been on a road trip to Indianapolis for a mission appeal and up to Washington DC to Catholic University for a week of studying. This week, it is to my hometown of Chicago. I am preaching a mission appeal at Our Lady of Hope in Rosemont, near O'Hare Airport. I had dinner with my brother Friday night - Barnaby's pizza - our favorite. On Friday, I hiked 12 miles along the lakefront. This weekend, I preach at all the masses at Our Lady of Hope. I love preaching mission appeals and love being able to visit my hometown of Chicago, but I must say, that I am ready to stay in Pearl for a while.
